Note-Worthy: Esxence 2025 👀💫
Milan once again became the epicenter of olfactory creativity as Esxence 2025 showcased bold innovations and standout scents. From rising talents to established names pushing boundaries, these were the discoveries that left a lasting impression.

Tobba: Jasper Li’s Summer Hits
Tobba continues to impress. Jasper Li’s upcoming Higher Self and Lovers and Strangers (launching this summer) are poised to be bestsellers. We’ve been fans from the start—this release is a must-watch.
Prin Lomros: Southeast Asia’s Star
Prin’s three lines—Prin (animalic), Prissana (Asian narratives), and Strangers (wearable yet complex)—showcase his brilliance. Guido from Strangers stole the show. Meeting Prin was a true highlight.
Aholic: Addictive Newcomer
Aholic (launching in April) explores addiction-inspired themes with originality and wearability. Love Dopamine stood out, and at €150 for 100ml, this brand is one to watch. What's crazy? Almost nothing exists about this brand so far—no online presence, no buzz—making its debut all the more intriguing.

Les Indemodables: Craftsmanship at Its Peak
Vanille Havane is a solid 10/10, but what truly impressed us? The brand processes all its natural ingredients in-house—an unmatched dedication to quality. Nothing new here, just that we are fans!
Brezza Leggera: Filippo Sorcinelli’s Heavyweight
With immortelle, pine, myrrh, and labdanum in extrait form, Brezza Leggera is anything but light—powerful and unmistakable, housed in a weighty flacon.
Extra Virgo: Coffee at Its Most Intense
Michele Marin’s Animal Café delivers explosive coffee notes from three continents, cinnamon, civet, and real oud. One of the strongest natural creations at Esxence—our bag still carries its scent.
Mark Buxton’s Freedom Collection: A Rising Talent
We had the chance to smell Free by David Chieze, the protégé of Mark Buxton, released under the Mark Buxton Freedom Collection. We also met Géraldine Ignesta, the third part of this creative trio, who is set to launch her first fragrance soon. A refined and compelling creation, further proving that this line is among the most underrated in perfumery.
Strictly Independent 🎨 🌟
We met Timur, co-founder of Nōse Perfume (alongside Daria), at Esxence, and let’s just say—this doesn’t happen often—we smelled things we’d never encountered before. Nōse delivers exactly what it promises: avant-garde perfumery at its finest. Independent, small-batch, and crafted with rare natural ingredients you won’t find elsewhere.
Timur shared their deep commitment to working with smallholder farmers, embracing raw materials in all their natural variability—batch variations be damned! The result? A collection that ranges from effortlessly wearable nuances to unapologetically avant-garde statements for life’s rarest, most extraordinary moments.
Based in Slovakia, Nōse is one to watch. It’s only a matter of time before these creations find their way into the hands of true connoisseurs.
Nōse Perfume 🇸🇰
![]() | Day Off – The Effervescent EscapeA fleeting pause, a city humming in the background, a stolen moment of quiet indulgence. Day Off reinvents the classic chypre with a modern edge—tuberose absolute, both creamy and green, meets the crisp bite of black pepper. Olibanum and Virginian cedar lend a smoky elegance, while a deep base of oak moss, sandalwood, and ambergris anchors the scent in timeless sophistication. An ode to unplanned adventures and days that unfold as they please. Perfumer: Timur Solodov |
![]() | Have a Nice Day – The Queen ReimaginedA rose unlike any other. Have a Nice Day transforms the queen of flowers into something bold, leathery, and untamed. Moroccan and Indian rose absolutes bloom with a citrusy shimmer of pink grapefruit, wrapped in the golden glow of saffron and myrrh. The scent deepens with smoky vetiver, patchouli, and a whisper of tobacco, creating an intoxicating blend that is both regal and rebellious. A rose with power, presence, and a new kind of majesty. Perfumer: Timur Solodov |
![]() | Lumberman – The Wild FrontierRugged and untamed, Lumberman is a scent of contrasts—herbal brightness and smoldering depth. French absinthe and British cannabis cut through the smoky richness of black tea and frankincense. Cambodian oud and tobacco absolute smolder at the heart, while castoreum and leather create a primal intensity. Grounded in vetiver and sandalwood, it’s a fragrance for those who embrace the raw, untamed beauty of the wilderness. Perfumer: Timur Solodov |
![]() | Meadow Tea – The Quiet ReverieA moment suspended in time, where silence hums with meaning. Meadow Tea is a delicate yet profound interplay of contrasts—Chinese green tea absolute, fresh and astringent, meets the honeyed softness of linden blossom. Poplar buds add a whisper of bitterness, while Spanish labdanum and cistus weave a resinous warmth. Rich incense and vanilla linger, sharpening rather than softening the edges, leaving behind a contemplative serenity that unfolds like a quiet afternoon in thought. Perfumer: Timur Solodov |
